Although Meratrim may sound like a magic pill for weight loss, the effects seen on the show cannot be taken at face value. Meaning, these women could have lost weight because of the added pressure of disclosing their weight on TV, and the strong placebo effect. The audience could have made themselves think that Meratrim would give them weight loss results, and this would, in turn, result in achieving their weight-loss goals.

2. Double Your Protein Consumption at Every Meal


Dr. Oz suggests people who want lose weight to substitute carbohydrates consumption with protein-rich food. This technique will force the body to burn a lot more calories than usual. You can start this by simply changing your breakfast carbs with high protein options, such as trading your smoothie for a boiled egg and low-fat cheese. Lean protein will not only stop you from feeling hungry but also supply you with energy until your next meal.


Here are ideas for you to get protein boost meals and snacks:


  • Include some plain yogurt to your everyday breakfast.
  • Remember that whole-grain crackers and string cheese or hummus are great pairs.
  • Poach an egg or two in your vegetable soup.

3. Take a Tablespoon of Pomegranate Vinegar After Every Meal


The final step according to Dr. Oz’s triple fat-loss diet plan is to take a tablespoon of pomegranate vinegar after every meal. The bitter-sweet taste may be difficult to take at first, but it can serve as a medium to prevent your body from storing unwanted fat. This compound contains acetic acid that helps us digest easier by improving the body’s ability to absorb essential nutrients from the food consumed. It also noted on the show that pomegranate helps keep inflammation down, while the vinegar helps regulate blood sugar levels that otherwise could trigger the body to store fat.
